FIBA has appointed Burson-Marsteller Sport in Lausanne to assist in the promotion of its recently redesigned Continental Cups concept. The new concept is part of FIBA’s full competition calendar revamp, which was launched in 2017.
The FIBA calendar revamp was made in an effort to give even more visibility to FIBA’s flagship events. This includes the FIBA World Cup and the FIBA continental championships, which now all have their own qualifier system spreading over a 4-window, 15 month long period.
Predrag Bogosavljiev, Director of Sports and Competitions at FIBA: “Thanks to the new competition system, our events’ host cities and countries can get a lot more visibility. Through this partnership, we are looking forward to getting the most out of Burson-Marsteller Sport’s global network of ambitious sports cities and hopefully welcome them as hosts of FIBA events.”
